Ambrose standards

For us to produce the best egg, we have standards of farming, providing us with the knowledge of knowing the birds are well looked after, the eggs are graded in a clean workable enviroment and that we are delivering top quality, fresh eggs.

Farming Standards

• Fresh water and feed is provided to the birds
• Dry bedding and well ventalated houses for the birds to live in
• Clean nest boxes
• Access to the range from dawn to dusk
• Salmonella testing
• Constantly checking the health of the bird

Bio-Security standards

We are very strict about bio-security

• Foot dip is changed weekly
• change of wellys and overials when entering the farm, to reduce the risk of spreding diesease from farm to farm.
• Vistors to the farm sign a vistors book, so we know who has been



Egg grading Standards

We grade with a MOBA 68 egg grader, MOBA is a very highly respected company, providing very accurate egg graders.

our standards for egg grading are:

• Everything must be clean before we start grading
• before we grade the eggs for size we candle (shining a bright light through the egg) the eggs to check for any cracks in shell
• The grader is reguarly calibated to make sure its weighing the egg correctly
